Fusion Center for Dance is a thriving dance studio located in Southwest Michigan. Our studio provides exceptional dance education and fostering a love for dance among our students. Dance Instructor

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Dance Instructor to join our team, specializing in teaching dance to children between the ages of 2 and 8. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dance and working with young children, creating a fun and supportive environment that fosters their love for movement and creativity. Responsibilities of the role will include (but not be limited to): 1.Teaching Dance Classes: Follow planned curriculum and conduct age-appropriate dance classes for children aged 2 to 8, focusing on various dance styles such as ballet, creative movement, tap, jazz, and more. 2.Engagement and Motivation: Use creative and engaging teaching methods to capture children's interest and maintain their enthusiasm for dance. 3.Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during classes, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols. 4.Progress Monitoring: Assess and monitor the progress of each child, providing feedback to parents or guardians on their child's development. 5.Choreography: Create and teach dance routines, ensuring they are age-appropriate and achievable for young children. 6.Class Management: Manage class dynamics, ensuring that classes run smoothly and efficiently. 7.Costume and Recital Preparation: Assist in preparing students for performances and recitals, including costume selection and rehearsal coordination. Requirements: To excel in this role, we are seeking individuals who align with our studio's values and possess the following qualifications: •Passion for dance and a genuine interest in nurturing students' love for the art form. •Previous experience in teaching dance to children, especially ages 2-8. •Proficiency in various dance styles suitable for young children. •Ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment. •Patience and a genuine love for working with children. •Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and fellow staff members. •Background check clearance. •A relevant degree or certification in dance, early childhood education, or related field is a plus. Pay and Benefits: •The position may be part-time or full-time, depending on class demand. •Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. •Opportunity for additional professional development and certification.
