Alyssa Swanson is a Fusion Alumni who has been dancing for almost 19 years. She is a former member of the Fusion Dance Company competitive team, and has earned many solo titles from regional competitions across the Midwest, including the titles of Miss Showbiz 2017 and 2018, Miss Tribute 2016, 2017, and 2018, Miss Masquerade 2018, and many special judges awards for her stage presence and entertaining solos. Alyssa and her former duet partner are 2017 National Champions from the Platinum Dance Competition in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Alyssa has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, lyrical, and she specializes in musical theatre and hip hop. Since the age of 15, Alyssa has trained under the Fusion Staff, and has been a qualified instructor at Fusion since 2016. Alyssa has set competitive solos, duets, trios, and group numbers for studios across Michigan and choreographs for the Fusion Dance Company.

Alyssa is currently a Senior at Andrews University and is a student of the B.S. Pre-Professional Psychology Program, concentrating in Behavioral Research Statistics/Physiological Psychology and minoring in Behavioral Sciences. She is an AU Student Success tutor for undergraduate statistics and psychology courses, a member of AU "Active Minds" Psychology Club, and a member of the Women's Empowerment Association of Andrews University. She is set to Graduate in Summer of 2022 and plans to continue her education by obtaining a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling.

At Fusion, Miss Alyssa is a Lead Instructor and a Fusion Dance Company Choreographer. She adores her students and aims to make sure that each one knows how special, smart, and important they are. She is so excited for all of the fun we're going to have this year!
