Fusion StageWorks is a high-quality children’s theater program for students in elementary through high school, designed to build confidence, creativity, and connection through the performing arts. Here, students don’t just learn how to act, sing, and dance—they learn how to express themselves, work as a team, and grow both on and off the stage.
This summer, Fusion StageWorks presents Mary Poppins Jr., giving students the opportunity to be part of a fully staged production in a supportive, high-energy environment.
No experience needed—just a willingness to try.

Who We Are
Fusion StageWorks is an extension of Fusion Center for Dance, built on a foundation of excellence, inclusivity, and a deep belief that the arts are for everyone. Backed by more than a decade of experience serving families in Southwest Michigan, our team is made up of passionate, experienced instructors dedicated to helping students grow both on and off the stage. We combine professional-level training in acting, singing, and dance with a supportive, encouraging environment where every child feels valued, challenged, and inspired to shine.

Why We Are Different
At Fusion StageWorks, we believe the stage is for everyone. Every student who auditions is cast, creating an inclusive environment where confidence can grow and every performer feels valued. Our program is thoughtfully structured to balance professionalism with accessibility—middle and high school students experience a production process modeled after real theater, beginning with a focused one-day bootcamp before auditions to prepare and inspire them. At the same time, our elementary students participate in a camp-style experience that builds skills, excitement, and a strong sense of ensemble. Together, this approach creates a cohesive, high-energy production where every student contributes, connects, and shines.

From staging performances at premier venues like the Lake Michigan College Hanson Theatre to managing every detail behind the scenes, our team brings real-world theater experience to every show. Students benefit from thoughtfully designed costumes, organized props, and a dedicated staff that understands how to run a smooth, polished production from rehearsal through performance. By combining professional standards with a supportive environment, we give students an authentic stage experience that builds confidence and pride in their work.
Coming This Winter
Peter Pan Jr.
Second star to the right and straight on ’til morning!
Fusion StageWorks invites young performers ages 7–20 to experience the wonder of Neverland in our inaugural winter production of Peter Pan JR.
Students will act, sing, and dance their way through a fully staged musical while building confidence, creativity, performance skills, and lasting friendships. From the Lost Boys and Brave Girls to pirates, fairies, and unforgettable characters, there is a place in Neverland for everyone!
No previous theater experience is required—just a willingness to learn, create, and have fun.
EVERY REGISTERED STUDENT RECEIVES A ROLE!
Every student who registers is guaranteed a role in the production. Optional auditions for principal and featured roles will be held on Friday, January 8. Students who prefer not to audition will be included in the ensemble. Audition materials will be emailed to registered students by December 1.
THE STAGEWORKS EXPERIENCE
This is more than a weekly class—it is a complete theater experience!
Students will:

PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
Optional Auditions - Friday, January 8, 5:00–7:00 PM at Fusion
Family Meeting and Cast Reveal - Saturday, January 9, 9:00–9:30 AM at Fusion
First Rehearsal and Costume Fittings - Saturday, January 9, 9:30 AM–3:00 PM at Fusion
Regular Saturday Rehearsals - January 16, 23, and 30, February 6, 13, and 20, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM at Fusion
Individual call times may vary slightly depending on each student’s role. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the family meeting.
Full-Cast Rehearsal - Sunday, February 21, 1:00–4:00 PM at Fusion
All props and costumes will be used.
Dress Rehearsal - Friday, February 26, 4:30–8:00 PM at Lakeshore High School
Performances - Saturday, February 27, 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Lakeshore High School
FAMILIES ARE PART OF THE MAGIC
Families will learn more about rehearsals, production expectations, costumes, and volunteer opportunities during the January 9 family meeting. Volunteer opportunities will include helping with costumes, props, ushering, and other production needs.
